The Dakota Lacrosse Program is a cooperative South of the River league, with players from Apple Valley, Eagan, Eastview, Inver Grove Heights,Hastings and Rosemount. There are no residency restrictions, so players from neighboring communities may register to play through Eagan Athletic Association or a partner association.
Dakota Lacrosse is a developmental league designed to introduce youth to the great sport of lacrosse and build skills in running, passing, catching and shooting. No standings are kept and the end-of-season jamboree games are pre-scheduled with no brackets. U14 and U15 field players are encouraged to support youth teams as mentors and assist coaches with practices and games. All teams will wear standard Dakota Lacrosse pinneys, regardless of their home association. All participants receive an end-of-season Dakota Lacrosse souvenir, but no trophies are awarded for winning teams.
U14 has a combined Spring and Summer field program. For more information, click on the Summer Field link on the website, and go to the U14 page.
Registration at the normal price goes until Feburary 9th, and then a late fee will be applied. Registration closes February 16th.
Girls & Boys Welcome
While most of the participants are boys, girls are welcome to play. (Please note that your daughter may be the only girl on the team!)
Just a note, this year there will be a Girls spring clinic. The clinic will start indoors at Veteran's Arena in IGH on April 5th and run for 7 weeks. Weather permitting they will be outside early May through the end date of the 23rd.

All box lacrosse participants must have a lacrosse stick and wear a helmet (hockey or lacrosse) with face guard, protective cup, shoulder pads, arm guards (or elbow pads), gloves, tennis shoes, and mouth guard. New and used equipment is available at many local sporting goods stores. Hockey equipment can also be used for this program, although most kids prefer lacrosse gloves. Goalie equipment and lacrosse balls are provided by EAA.

Many volunteers are needed to make Spring Indoor Lacrosse Program a great experience. Coaches with little to no lacrosse experience can quickly pick up the basics and transfer skills from other sports, such as basketball, hockey and soccer. Box lacrosse is a short season and training is provided! Volunteers also assist with team management, time clock and scoreboard administration, equipment and age group coordination. Please indicate your interests on your child’s registration form.
